Life on the Lake
The area is full of opportunities to connect with the great outdoors. Charleston Lake is great for swimming, fishing, boating, watersports, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and hiking.
Approximately 1/3 of the lake is provincial park with no cottages, the lake is not crowded and has several free public boat launches only 5 minutes away.

Get outside and explore the great Canadian outdoors.
On the Lake
Rent boats, canoes, and kayaks at one of two marines located in nearby Charleston Village. Don't forget the fishing rod - the area is known for its great fishing.
On the Trails
Lots of great hiking trails nearby to explore with your family and friends - Beechwoods, Quidity, Sandstone Island, Hemlock Ridge - there are dozens of trails surrounding the lake.
On the Waterfront
Sit back lake-side and enjoy the scenic views, wildlife, and peaceful stillness of Charleston Lake.

"Our family has rented from the owners 3 summers in a row - we stayed twice at Sandy Cove Cottage Rental and last year moved to Hodge Podge Lodge due to the extra space.
The cottage is a great size for a family and has every kitchen item you could possibly need. The cottage is very clean and the owners are very responsive should you have any needs during your stay. The screened in porch was wonderful for summer evenings to sit, relax and play some games.
I would highly recommend Hodge Podge Lodge. "
